Visit Kingston Market Place, the site of Kingston’s newest permanent art installation; Party Animal by Alex R T Davies MRSS.
Winner of the 2021 Kingston Sculpture Trail, Party Animal by Alex R T Davies MRSS depicts a bronze goat, playfully resting a traffic cone on it’s back. The goat has a shiny nose which becomes more golden in colour as it is rubbed by passers-by.
The piece is made to be interacted with, so you can even hop on the goat’s back to take a ride!
The trail was organised by a partnership of Kingston First, Kingston Council, Kingston University and Canbury Community Trust. Party Animal was the winning sculpture of 7 temporarily installed artworks making up a trail, which ran from August to October 2021. You can find out more here.
