Kingston Christmas Market
10 November - 2 January (gift stalls open until 24 December)
It just wouldn't be Christmas in Kingston without the much-loved Christmas Market, consistently cited as one of the top Christmas markets in London. The market will return on 10 November with exciting new stalls and daily live entertainment for all to enjoy.
Browse unique gifts from the European-style wooden cabins lining the Ancient Market Place, indulge in delicious bratwurst hot dogs (with vegan and vegetarian options too) and soak up the lively festive atmosphere by the stage with steaming mulled wine in hand!
With a packed schedule of weekly open mic nights, local artists and community group performances, no matter what time or day you visit the market is full of festive fun!
Curling at the Alpine Village
10 November - 2 January
If you’re feeling up for a bit of friendly competition, head over to the Alpine Village in the grounds of All Saints Church and challenge your friends and family to a spot of curling, in amongst snowy fir trees, ski lift seats and twinkling lights.
There are two lanes available to book (each lane hosting up to 4 people for a 45 minute game) with a bar and food stalls on standby if hunger strikes. If slinging stones isn’t your thing, grab a beer or hot chocolate to watch from the sidelines or warm up cold hands at the toasty fire pit.
Top tip: you can pre-book your lanes up to 30 days ahead to avoid disappointment on the day.
From 10 November (there will be no light switch-on event)
Streets all over town will be dotted with installations and illuminated with lights, perfect for a magical wintry walk around town to discover them all.
The Giant Bauble, Candy Cane Hat and favourite 'I Love Kingston' light installations will be returning, as well as two NEW and exciting installations that are sure to make the town sparkle; a giant reindeer and unique tree decked out with bespoke handmade neon lights.
Candy Cane Forest
26 November - 2 January
Mon to Fri 10am - 6pm, Sat 10am - 8pm, Sun 10am - 6pm
Little ones will be all smiles as they step through the snow-capped trees of the Candy Cane Forest in Memorial Gardens, before taking a ride on the vintage carousel, swings and Christmas train. Each ride costs £2 per child, and you can swap your cash for tokens at the box outside the entrance to Memorial Gardens.
