Clothes Swap at Not My Beautiful House

An interactive event exploring the notion of sentimentality in clothing, invites you to participate in an exchange of clothing and memories this Sunday at Not My Beautiful House. Come with old clothes and leave with new ones!

The event is the subject of a video archive project presented by Kingston University art students, exploring the meaning and value of personal attachment to clothing. Open to everyone, regardless of age, gender and experience/familiarity with second-hand fashion, visitors are encouraged to bring as many clothes as they wish to take part in a wide community clothing swap and share the story of what they’re leaving behind.

You can find the event running from 12pm to 4pm in the ground floor foyer of Not My Beautiful House.

Entrance is £1.

*There will be filming and photographing within the space, so by entering the event visitors will be consenting to this taking place.
