The municipal year is fast drawing to a close and with the help of her wonderful sponsors (gold sponsor: Breyer Group and silver sponsor Countryside Partnerships) The Mayor is looking to end her term of office with a bang!
2025 marks the 1100th anniversary of the crowning in Kingston of King Athelstan, the first king of a unified England and the borough will be celebrating in style. To mark the occasion, the Mayor’s Gala Ball, to be held in the Sopwith Suite at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Skerne Road, will be themed “Kingston through the Ages”.
Dresscode: Dress to Impress
A delicious three course meal, especially designed for the event by the hotel’s head chef, will take you through the ages, with authentic dishes themed around different periods in Kingston’s history.
Following the meal, Radio Jackie Breakfast Show DJ, Neil Long, will take you on a musical journey through the decades, with plenty of dancing, once all have eaten their fill.
