Completion of Eagle Brewery Wharf Development

Eagle Brewery Wharf on the riverside is now officially open for the public to enjoy.

A partnership project between Kingston Council and Kingston First, the town’s business improvement district, developed with feedback from the community and local businesses has transformed this key riverside location into a welcoming, inclusive setting for all to enjoy throughout the year.

Situated next to The Ram, the redeveloped site now includes new children’s play equipment, accessible public seating, new lighting and metal railings along the riverfront, as well fresh planting including 14 new trees – improving Kingston’s green spaces and biodiversity. The new design fuses nature and heritage with the iconic swift nesting tower from sculptor Will Nash.

The Eagle Brewery Wharf project is part of the council’s wider heritage-led ‘Transform Kingston’ regeneration programme, which looks to reinvigorate and reshape the town centre to provide better experiences for residents, local businesses, students and visitors. You can find more information here.

It’s great to see Eagle Brewery Wharf transform into a place where everyone can unwind, enjoy and connect with nature, and have a new social space by the riverside, that’s open and accessible for all. We cannot wait for everyone to make the most of it in the sunnier days ahead!☀️
