As the new year begins, we might add healthy eating as part of our new year resolution, and what better way to do it than by taking part in Veganuary!

Veganuary is an annual campaign to encourage and support people from all over the world to go vegan for January. Thankfully, Kingston’s restaurants and cafés have a wealth of great Veganuary choices to make your life that much easier.

Wagamama 

This Veganuary, the Japanese-inspired chain Wagamama is teaming up with the plant-based iconic chef, Alfie Steiner (Alfie Cooks), to offer the limited edition Firecracker Chick’n Ramen, with crispy vegan chick’n, roasted aubergine and rice noodles in a warming gochujang broth.

Over 50% of the chain’s menu is now plant-based, as part of the company’s mission to reduce its carbon emissions.

Chakra 

Serving an exquisite Indian dining experience with a beautiful view overlooking the river Thames, Chakra is a great option if you’re looking to treat yourself. Their Vegetarian/Vegan menu has 23 fantastic dishes to choose from, including Paneer Tikka, Chakra Mixed Grill Vegetarian Platter, Sweet Potato Okra and many more.

Busaba Thai 

As part of Veganuary, Busaba Thai is offering 20% off all our vegan dishes! Whether you’re craving Pad Thai or Sriracha Ho Fun noodles, you can still indulge in bold flavours! All you need to do is quote the code ‘VEGAN20’ when you get the bill. 

Riverside Vegetaria

A nice and cosy restaurant on the riverside serving (you guessed it) vegetarian, vegan, organic, wheat and gluten-free dishes. Riverside Vegetaria brings popular dishes from around the world into a plant-based version, with dishes including a Caribbean casserole, tofu Terriyaki, organic red lentils & Avocado Kedgeree, and many more.

The Terrace Eatery 

Situated in the heart of a town, The Terrace Eatery is an al-fresco lunch destination that serves a selection of nutritious and hearty sandwiches, salads & breakfast, with good vegan and vegetarian options too. Their vegan roasted aubergine melts, generously doused in pesto, basil, peppers and olives are a must-try!

If you’re a vegan, you might already know about this highly-popular Middle Eastern fast-food falafel heaven, The Cheeky Pea!
