As the new year begins, we might add healthy eating as part of our new year resolution, and what better way to do it than by taking part in Veganuary!

Veganuary is an annual campaign to encourage and support people from all over the world to go vegan for January. Thankfully, Kingston’s restaurants and cafés have a wealth of great Veganuary choices to make your life that much easier.

This Veganuary, the Japanese-inspired chain Wagamama is offering a vegan version of its kare lomen dish featuring udon noodles in a spicy coconut broth with plant-based teriyaki chicken, topped with coriander, beansprouts, and cucumber. 

Over 50% of the chain’s menu is now plant-based, as part of the company’s mission to reduce its carbon emissions.


Serving an exquisite Indian dining experience with a beautiful view overlooking the river Thames, Chakra is a great option if you’re looking to treat yourself. Their Vegetarian/Vegan menu has 23 fantastic dishes to choose from, including Paneer Tikka, Chakra Mixed Grill Vegetarian Platter, Sweet Potato Okra and many more.
