A new sustainable pop-up shop Kapdaa Offcut opens on Castle Street
If you love one-off pieces at affordable prices, then you'll want to visit Kapdaa Offcut! Their pop-up shop is open for the whole of December only, so be sure to visit them today.
A brand new sustainable pop-up shop, Kapdaa Offcut, opened last week on Castle Street in Kingston upon Thames.
Kapdaa Offcut is a multi-award-winning, sustainable fashion brand, that turns fabric offcuts (pieces leftover after your garment is created) into gorgeous, limited edition, eco-friendly accessories and stationery.
Sustainability is something that is weaved into every product lovingly handcrafted by Kapdaa, and through recycling wasted textile materials, the brand has saved over 10,000 meters of fabric from going to landfill!
“Our business was primarily B2B, but now we want to sell to locals since we’ve been a local business here in Kingston since 2010. This pop-up shop repurposes recycled materials that people have donated to us, and how we mix and match materials to create a truly special one-off product that isn’t widely available anywhere else” – Nish, founder of Kapdaa Offcut on Castle Street.
“If we are successful at our pop-up here in Kingston, we would then look to find a permanent place here, so we appreciate any support you give us!” – Nish, founder of Kapdaa Offcut on Castle Street.
Kapdaa is also hosting in-store classes on sustainable fashion, where you can learn how to upcycle textile materials and make them into something useful, like journals, bookmarks, card holders and more.
