Kingston First is the town’s Business Improvement District (BID) dedicated to creating a place where businesses can thrive and people want to be. We support the local businesses and work to make Kingston a vibrant, welcoming, and exciting place to visit that everyone can enjoy.

Kingston First owns and manages the Kingston Upon Thames brand, including the website and social channels and uses these platforms to position Kingston as a vibrant destination. The brand showcases what’s on offer in Kingston, and promotes the local businesses.

5. Light Up Kingston event highlights
Underworld Exhibition – Located at Fusebox, offering an exclusive free exhibition during the light event. Find out more on their website
Lantern Workshop – Fun for kids at Fusebox on 19 & 20 February, 4.30-5.30pm. Suitable for 5+. Free drop-in workshop, all materials will be provided.
Discounts and Offers – Local businesses are sharing exclusive discounts like 25% off the total food bill, 50% off entry, Kids Eat Free, and many more!
6. How do I redeem business offers and discounts?
Show your fully stamped postcard. You can collect postcards from the stewards at the light installations, and/or all the participating businesses, such as Cass Art, Fun Club, Excellar, Molton Brown, and others. You can find the full list here.
7. Where can I get discounted parking?
At NCP Fairmead for £6.95 all day via the app using the promo code: BIDLIGHTUP.
8. What if I missed the NCP discount?
Pick up a ‘validation’ ticket from collaborating businesses to receive a partial refund on fully priced car park tickets.
