Over £13,000 has been raised by Cappadocia Kingston to help aid to families affected in the Turkey earthquake

A popular Turkish restaurant in Kingston donated all of its earnings on Thursday, 9th February 2023 to organisations in Turkey to help those affected by the Turkey earthquake.

In response to the earthquake in Turkey, a popular Turkish restaurant Cappadocia has taken matters into its own hands, by donating all of its earnings on Thursday, 9th February 2023 to crisis organisations in Turkey that are providing aid and relief to the affected.

They received an overwhelming response from locals, with Cappadocia Kingston raising £13,411 to help support the relief and £8,337.92 in Epson, a combined whopping total of £21,749.22!

Cappadocia has been serving traditional Turkish cooking since 2001, and now owns two more branches in Epsom and Walton on Thames. 

In a post on Cappadocia Kingston’s Facebook page, they expressed their gratitude to their customers; “This is truly incredible, we are so thankful and grateful. Thank you to everyone who came along to support our fundraising, to those that shared our updates on social media platforms and for everyone’s messages of support. A special thank you also to those who couldn’t make it, but donated directly to various charities”.
